The 109 Sport
The Grob G 109B is a two-seat, self-launching motor glider. Based on the earlier Grob G109A model, it was created to address several operational challenges found when flying that aircraft: power (95 HP up from 80), performance of wings when wet, crosswind limits, cockpit space, and accessibility issues. Entry and exit from the cockpit are through separate perspex doors which open upward individually compared with the original canopy on G109A; controls, including the throttle, are duplicated across both seats while backs can be adjusted further for optimal body size adjustments; seat backs may also be adjusted while cushions of different thickness can accommodate various body sizes.
At 1,320-LB dry weight, this trailer is easy to pull and suitable for towing by numerous smaller vehicles.
