The Grey Dog Coffee House is a neighborhood coffeehouse that prioritizes small joys that can often get lost in big-city living. Inspired by Moose and Goose, its namesakes Labrador Retriever dogs, this cafe offers breakfast, lunch, sandwiches, and a full selection of coffee & tea for guests to enjoy. Their staff are warm and friendly, while their food is divine! My favorites are avocado toast and breakfast quesadilla; dessert options include cobbler and fruit & french toast parfait – not to mention excellent coffee quality & very reasonable pricing!
Cask Bar and Kitchen in Murray Hill is another fantastic neighborhood spot. Their rustic-chic ambiance, friendly bartenders, and great happy hour specials (specific drafts for $7 and cocktails at $10!) make for a delightful dining experience – plus, there is Sunday brunch service!
13th Step is an elegant Lower East Side bar that attracts students and locals, perfect for pregame gatherings or just lounging with friends. They offer cheap drinks in a welcoming environment – perfect for making new connections or getting tipsy!
Night Inn offers an unforgettable evening experience, from wine tasting and food pairings to cocktail making and expert chefs and bartenders with experience at Michelin-star restaurants – plus special discounts for group bookings! They’re open late with plenty of drinks available. Not to mention their reasonable pricing and a great selection of wines!
Groove
Groove Bar in Greenwich Village offers live R&B, funk, and soul bands every night of the week. Enjoy traditional and contemporary tunes as well as open mic nights with classic bar food such as burgers, fries, and mozzarella sticks on offer from its menu. Ticket pricing requires two drinks minimum, with cash being the only payment accepted here; be sure to arrive early to secure a seat!

Mister Paradise features an eclectic cocktail program with amusing names incorporating severe culinary techniques. Their most recent creation, Corn Ultimatum, is an irresistibly delicious blend of bourbon, genever, roasted corn, peach nectar, and parmesan tincture – not to mention delicious new dishes like fried chicken tacos and coconut curry mussels on their menu!
